An update on TransAlta Renewables’ COVID-19 Response

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and as a member of the TransAlta family, TransAlta Renewables in partnership with TransAlta Corp., is working hard to ensure the power we generate continues uninterrupted to the thousands of homes, businesses and communities we serve. We take the responsibility to our customers seriously.

We are working closely with local and national health authorities and have implemented stringent measures to protect the health of our employees, contractors and partners.

As always, the safety of our people is of paramount importance. All employees who can work remotely have been doing so since mid-March 2020. We continue to take the utmost precaution in protecting our essential employees at our generation facilities. We have implemented additional measures and personal temperature screening procedures at every work site to protect those working hard to ensure the reliable delivery of electricity to the businesses and municipalities that depend on us.

We will continue to monitor the pandemic and encourage everyone to protect the health of themselves and their families during this stressful and unprecedented time.
