The 69 MW Ardenville wind facility is a wholly-owned facility that is comprised of 23, 3.0 MW Vestas V90 wind turbines on 80 metre towers, and is located approximately eight kilometres south of Fort Macleod, Alberta, adjacent to the Company’s Macleod Flats wind facility. This facility began commercial operations in November 2010. Generation from this facility will be subject to the terms of a TransAlta PPA that terminates in 2033. Management believes that the estimated annual gross generation from the facility will be approximately 211 GWh. The Ardenville wind farm creates offset credits until 2022, and is entitled to receive EcoENERGY payments until 2020.
