Pingston is a run-of-river hydroelectric facility with installed capacity of 45 MW, located on Pingston Creek, southwest of Revelstoke, British Columbia and down river of the Company’s Akolkolex facility. Pingston, which is equally owned with Brookfield Renewable Power Inc., utilizes three 15 MW horizontal Pelton turbines and Leroy-Somer generators. This facility began commercial operations in May 2003. Generation from the facility is sold to BC Hydro under a PPA that terminates in 2023. Management believes that the estimated annual gross generation from the facility will be approximately 164 GWh.
