Waterton is a run-of-river hydroelectric facility with installed capacity of three MW, located at the base of the Waterton Dam on the Waterton Reservoir, near Hillspring, southwest of Lethbridge, Alberta. This whollyowned facility utilizes a horizontal double Alstom Francis turbine and a Kato generator. This facility began commercial operations in November 1992. Generation from this facility will be subject to the terms of a TransAlta PPA that terminates in 2033. Management believes that the estimated annual gross generation from the facility will be approximately 16 GWh.
